Bell Sleeve Dress & OTK Boots

Fall & Winter Fashion, Fashion

Happy 2017 Yall!

I hope everyone had the most wonderful New Years! New Years Eve is my birthday so I always have a little more to be excited about!

This year my husband and I celebrated in the mountians along with two of our friends. The weather was freezing and it even snowed on my birthday! We spent New years eve shopping and relaxing at the Banner Elk Winery. We sipped on blueberry wine (the best wine I have EVER tasted), listened to live music by a relaxing fire place while the snow gently fell outside. It was magical.

We rang in the new year by staying in, eating lots and lots of cheese & crackers, trying to complete a 500 piece puzzle, laughing till our stomachs hurt and for the first time I watched the ball drop on TV. It was a perfect way to end 2016 and the last day of year 26!

Despite the cold, I packed this cute little Bell Sleeve dress and braved the cold for about an hour and then changed. I was on the hunt for a cute LBD and when I found this one I bought it right away. It has been on repeat for the last few weeks and I have gotten nothing but compliments on it! It hits me right at the perfect length and I just love the bell sleeves.

Bell sleeves for a southern belle is just perfect, right!? <3

I paired this dress with some over the knee boots from Target. Now, I will be honest, I thought the over the knee boots were just a lost cause for me. I am 5’1 with really short and thick legs. I had tried on at least 40 pairs of over the knee boots and there were NONE that fit my legs or hit me where they were suppose too. One night I was in target and I just happened to see these boots laying in the middle of the aisle. I couldn’t get my cart through so I went over and picked them up and thought to myself, “hmmmm… these are really cute!” and low and behold they were my size! So, I said okay, I’ll try them.. and BAM! They fit! The first pair I have found that actually fit!! I threw those bad boys in the cart and ran to the check out line!

So, if you are like me and have been searching for a pair of OTK boots with no luck, here is your perfect pair (and they are inexpensive!!!!).

Then to top this outfit off (no pun intended) I put on my white slouch hat beanie. I am a little obsessed with this cute hat because it keeps me warm and doesn’t mess up my hair when I wear it because its slouch. You can find this hat here.

I have linked my actual bell sleeve dress below, along with some other ones I love because well you can never have too many dresses, am I right!?

I hope you all have a wonderful week!!
